                                                                                PADS
                                                        Public Action to Deliver Sustenance

In 2008, the PADS for Grundy Area began.  Their mission is to help people - to provide a safe, warm place for people to stay and get a warm meal, breakfast and a sack lunch for the next day.  They are open from October - April from 7 pm to 7 am daily.

During the 2016 - 2017 season, 1037 people stayed and 58 people ate only.  Last year they were able to help feed 2,925 people in need.  They need 1080 volunteers to fill all the spots and anyone can volunteer.  The community is very supportive and they are looking for a permanent location.  Currently the shelter sites are located at: Peace Lutheran, First United Methodist, Immaculate Conception and Living Word.
